Overview

A complete payroll and HR management platform handling employee lifecycle, attendance, payroll runs and compliance for growing businesses.

The challenge

Growing businesses were juggling payroll in spreadsheets, attendance in a separate biometric tool and HR records in email — leading to errors, compliance risk and hours of manual reconciliation every month.

The client needed a single, multi-tenant platform that could run accurate payroll, capture attendance, manage the full employee lifecycle and stay compliant with statutory requirements — all reliable enough to be the system of record.

Our solution

We designed Klienzo as a modular, multi-tenant SaaS on a NestJS backend with a React front end. Each module — employees, attendance, leave, payroll, compliance — was built as a clean, independently testable domain.

Payroll runs were automated with a rules engine that handles allowances, deductions and statutory calculations, with a reviewable approval workflow before disbursement.

Attendance integrates multiple capture methods, and role-based access keeps employee, manager and admin views cleanly separated. Audit logging tracks every sensitive change for compliance.
